New layout!
Saturday, 12 January 2013 at 03:20

Guys, I am so done with Kim Sunggyu and coding. It's 3.10AM and I just finished his layout. Been at this since 6PM! I don't like CSS and CSS doesn't like me either. But anywho, it's all done now and I'm actually quite proud of it. A lot of my online friends will know that I often say there's something missing from my work, or that I'm not satisfied with it because it didn't turn out the way I thought it would, but I'm extremely happy with this one.

But ever since Sunggyu's solo came out, I've wanted to edit something with it and voila! My editing skills sort of deteriorated, ㅠㅠ, but hey, at least I kept trying, right? By the way, those cogs just above the side bar make amazing stocks, I'm going to get a 1080p shot of that.. Hey, Nizza unnie! I make your husband look hot!

How was everyone's new years? Mine was pretty okay, could've been better, but oh well. Shit happens, I guess. But I'm going to uni this year! Hopefully it'll be a good year~ In saying that, I've started a new fic with Steph Unnie and it's an Exo fic and through our collaboration, we have found the amazing wonder called Google Docs. Okay, just kidding, we've known of Google Docs for a while, but I never knew it updated real time, haha! It's awesome! Goodbye socialising, hello online collaborations! No more going over to other people's houses when I need to do report as a group - to Google docs we go!

That is sort of sad, isn't it..?

2009 to 2012
Sunday, 21 October 2012 at 00:31

Okay, so I saw this meme that one of my favorite traditional artists on DeviantArt did and I thought to myself: If I did this meme (the digital version) there would probably be no difference. Oh how wrong I was. Let me show you why.

2009 and 2012

Look at... everything. Like, shit. So I guess it was a bit of an understatement to say that I wouldn't have improved. I still remember saying that I wouldn't look back on old pieces because it was that bad, HAHA! I haven't remade any other pieces, I don't think.

They're under different names, because at the time I made the poster on the left and posted the story on Winglin (which was in 2009), I was still going under that user. Oh how I wish I grew up a bit faster so I could save myself from the embarrassment of explaining it's origin. If you ask, I'll cut your throat.

But seriously...

...Damn.

One Piece logic
Saturday, 22 September 2012 at 20:13

Okay, just to start off, I think Yukwon should be proud because I'm totally hooked onto One Piece. But anyway, although there's inspiring things throughout the whole story (so far I'm in the Enies Lobby arc, don't spoil any other arcs for me!) there's one bit in this arc that really got me thinking. It's this scene down here:

A quick summary of the situation: Tom has just finished building the world's first sea train from Water 7 to many other different islands in the Grand Line. Though it's been a success, trade is still quite slow and in that time, Iceburg and Franky (Tom's apprentices) have been building ships and working on their skills as shipwrights. Franky eventually decides to build so many warships that are turned against the city by the Marines (courtesy of Spandam) and the blame is put on Tom, Iceburg and Franky. When they are convicted before all the citizens of Water 7, Franky claims that his warships aren't his and the result is as you see above.

So what did this get me thinking about? Our stories. An Unnie of mine posted this on Twitter a while ago:

And I was reminded of that particular One Piece scene. While Tom is saying that no matter what kind of ship you make, as a parent, the creator 'must only give it love', and that they 'mustn't deny that which you've created', because when a shipwright makes a ship, they make it a part of themselves 'with a don'. Now I have absolutely no idea what 'with a don' is supposed to mean, but it sounds pretty cool, haha! Anyway, I think we can apply this to our stories as authors too, or even to our graphics as graphic designers.

We write stories and make graphics for various reasons. I know I write as a kind of medium to vent with, so most of my writing may or may not reflect my mood (but no matter what mood I'm in, angst is the best genre for me to write in, LMAO). My graphics come about as a form of recreation, so I really design to share. I'm also one of those people who find it very hard to take my work and say that 'I really like this piece of work', so when people compliment me on it, I tend to say that it's not at the standard they think it's at, ect.

But it's like Tom said - with everything we create, we hold some level of affection for it, because we incorporate a bit of ourselves into it. That's why with stories, though they might have a cliche storyline or contain similar ideas to another story, they're all unique, because the way each and every author presents his or her story is different as everyone's different. No two snowflakes are the same, neither are two individuals. No two writing styles are the same, as much as they seem like it.

As much as I recognise this, I also think that at the end of the day, a bad story is different to everyone, which is why I disagree with Unnie's post up there. I beta her stories from time to time and I can definitely see improvement (is this what teachers feel like?) and some of her stories are amazing, even if English isn't her first language. I mean, come on, read Esse Quam Videri, it's absolutely heartbreaking ;A;

I guess that's all I really have to say - the fact that our stories are our own and you shouldn't be afraid to call them yours. Calling them good isn't a necessity, but at least cherish them and learn from them. We all learn from previous experiences, it's a fact.

Happy reading and creating everyone!

Boy and Girl things?
Saturday, 4 August 2012 at 22:10

I have something to ask you guys. What is a 'guy thing', and what is a 'girl thing'? Can you really split everything into something for guys and something for girls? It annoys me to no end that people say that certain things are meant for guys, and not for girls. I mean, sure, things like urinals and (male) condoms are for guys, whilst pads and tampons are for girls, but for general things such as careers and books, can you really split them into terms of gender?

I think it's unfair.

My dad was saying something about how engineering is more suited for boys, and not for girls, and I retaliated saying that I would go out into the field if I were interested in engineering. I might not know what many engineers do, but that doesn't mean that I can't go into engineering. As long as I have the qualifications, what does anyone have to complain about? As long as I know what I'm doing, and I know what your situation is and how to advise you on it, what is there to complain about?

Another time, a few months back, I mentioned to my piano teacher that I'd like to be a doctor. Yes, now about that.. I'm not becoming one anymore, because for one, I know that's not something I'd be able to get into, and secondly, I found something else I want to do that's in the medicinal field. But anyway, I said that I wanted to become a doctor, and she decided to tell me that a doctor isn't something a girl should do, and more of a career for boys. So she told me to do dentistry instead.

I hate dentistry.

Then I've told the same person I like to play soccer, and she told me that I shouldn't play because it's a rough sport. Then what should I be playing? Netball? Volleyball? How am I going to perform if I don't like the sport itself? Firstly, there's no 'I' in 'team', and I'm certainly not going to play in a team I don't like.

Books are sort of the same thing. I hear people go on about how Twilight is a chick's book, how Skulduggery Plesant is for teenage boys, ect ect. As someone who absolutely hates Twilight with a passion, and loves books like Skulduggery Plesant, Contest and The Rangers Apprentice it's a stupid concept. Action, thriller and horror books are not just for boys, and sappy romances, romantic comedy and those dramatic books are not just for girls. Hey, I completely rejected the Girls Rock! series and read the entire Boys Rules! series instead.

I mean, Emily Rodda writes completely awesome books, and they seem to be the typically male targeted books, but Deltora's Quest and Rowan of Rin are two series that I'd read over and over again.

So tell me, what do you consider to be typically boy things, and typically girl things?

[M] The Handmaid's Tale
Friday, 27 July 2012 at 20:00

This is amazing. It's like, the second book I'm reading for lit, cover to cover, and it's the first text I've enjoyed just reading it. I mean, Scott F. Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby was a good book, I didn't mind it, but I sort of had to force myself to read it until the end. The Handmaid's Tale (by Margaret Atwood) is the first lit book I'm enjoying every page of.

It's confronting, yes, but it's actually a pretty good read! It's a dystopian, science and gothic fiction novel, published around 1985 and is set in the future, talking about a society completely and utterly ruled by religion, where a woman's only function is to either breed (become a handmaid), work in the kitchen, marry (if they can), or become a maid. Alongside being such a good read, it's a little confusing at times with their usage of speech marks, but it's okay, I mean, it doesn't bother me... much.

Oh, and this shows my maturity. LOL. This is how they describe a man's penis.
To have them putting him on, trying him on, trying him out, while he himself puts them on, like a sock over a foot, onto the stub of himself, his extra, sensitive thumb, his tentacle, his delicate stalked slug's eye, which extrudes, expands, winces, and shrivels back onto himself when touched wrongly, grows big again, bulging a little at the tip, travelling forward as if along a leaf, into them, avid for vision. (p. 98)
WHO THE HELL CALLS IT A 'SLUG'S EYE'? That doesn't sound right, at all, LMAO. The sex part (because Offred is a handmaid, her sole function is to breed) was.. funny too. I mean, who the hell holds your hand while you're getting fucked by someone else?! No less by that woman's husband! It's a scary reality, this one, and I really hope it doesn't become our society any time soon.

OUR WACE EXAM TIME TABLES CAME OUT TODAY TOO! Mine isn't too bad, it's pretty okay. My first one is on the first day, the day after my birthday, omg ;A; But I can't really complain, because one of my friends has one every day of the second week, so that's like, five exams over and done with in five days, but it's also so much stress. Oh God, someone save me ;A;

Hope you guys have an awesome weekend!

Ubomb!
Wednesday, 11 July 2012 at 00:08

I'm back, and this time with Ubomb! My OTP after Yoosu :3 But you know what? I hate working with the colour yellow. I mean, it's a nice colour since it's all happy and bright and all, but holy shit, it's like, one of the hardest colours to work with on such a light background! Fuck it for being Yukwon's favorite colour ;3;

Black is an easier colour to work with, thank you Minhyuk! ;3; But yeah, as you can see, nothing extravagant. The layout base code is practically the same as my IU freebie (which I'm working on putting up on a site, I'll probably just end up putting it on Blogskins later), so if you see the resemblance.. yeah. That's where it came from, LOL.

It seems a little too happy for my liking, but then again, I needed a happy layout after that dark-ish Block B one. My next layout is going to feature Infinite, since Nizza unnie demands it, and I don't know whether to make that one cute or if I should make it look sexy. It all depends on when I decide to make that layout and what photos they have out by then~ I mean, the images I used for this header are fan taken (I think? I couldn't find the tumblr blog I got them from ;; I saved them back in May!) and yeah, none of them are official.

Speaking of official photos, Block B barely participate in photo shoots! It's such a shame though, because I'd love their photos ):

School is a butt and I'm currently on term break, but I'm going to have to start studying again soon. Mocks are in about ten-ish weeks, and WACE is in about 14 weeks or something? I don't know, I'll check later~ I'll try and have some more tips and reviews up these holidays!

But first, I have to get those trailer requests finished..

EDIT: My layout reminds me of my leavers jacket. Black, yellow and white. Black and yellow, black and yellow, black and yellow~

Courses
Monday, 21 May 2012 at 23:23

I never thought choosing university courses would be this hard. Quite literally, I thought it would be a lot easier than this.

I'm looking through UWA, Curtin and Murdoch courses, and because everyone's asking me what I want to do, I can't help but feel slightly pressured. I mean, my parents want me to go to a good university (they want me to get into UWA, which is our top university), and that's understandable. I'd love to get in, I mean, who wouldn't? It's sort of like, everyone has this certain idea of what I should be doing, and I get no say in it. Maybe I'm thinking too much into it, hahah!

There are so many courses to choose from though! As I've explained to so many people, I think my main problem is that I believe in learning for the sake of learning. Like, I want to learn everything because I just want to. LOL DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENSE? I want to do science, art and business. lskfgbdspugbgkjlhdfbgodhbgpdsutwupdugb I don't have the time and/or resources to do everything though, so I have to narrow my novel sized list down to six. Oh dear Buddha, help me ;A;

Do any of you guys have similar problems to me? Choosing courses for universities? Or if you're already in uni, how did you come about choosing your course? Let me know! I'd be interested to see what you're studying, or are considering to study, and why you chose it!

Ignore me~
Sunday, 13 May 2012 at 14:18

OKAY. So I was creeping on Positive Kpop the other night, and I found this quote by B-Bomb, and I wanted to cry while reading it ;~; They're gorgeous, the boys of Block B ;~;
“After some time we discovered BBC had never left us. Not only Korean BBC, but BBC all over the world, and other supporters as well. They were telling us it was okay. That the world didn’t hate us. They were there for us for us no matter what. We started healing because the others didn’t matter, as long as we had the ones that love us. We’re stronger than before, we love our fans more than we did before, and we promise to show an even better side of us.” - Lee Minhyuk (B-bomb)
I love being a BBC ♥. But of course, every other fandom is just as amazing as ours, so I can't say that BBCs are the only dedicated fans out there. I mean, have you guys seen Cassies? We've made the biggest fanbase in the world or something, and.. shit that's just amazing. 8)

I love being a part of our online community.

I want to try post this here.. It's just a letter I wrote for one of my oneshots I recently posted, just translated into Korean. I might hate Google translate, but I couldn't help it, it looks awesome! HAHA. I think it's all in formal Korean though.

LMAO YOU SHOULD SEE THIS IN MY EDITING POST THINGO. IT TAKES UP SO MUCH SPACE. Well I think that looks pretty cool. If you want to read it (which you shouldn't because of all the fail dripping from it), you can read it here~ The translation is there too!

Anywho, exams are coming up soon, so I should probably start revising. Happy mothers day to everyone's mums!

Reviews
Tuesday, 24 April 2012 at 23:22

I want to add so much to this portfolio so that it becomes a site that offers so much. LOL. I've already got tips/tutorials going, reviews and I was helping out Jezzi omma by giving her advice on her fic, and I was telling her that I should open up a graphics review section. I was reviewing Steph unnie's prologue for Exoplanet, and I was editing it for her after I found some typos - I felt like such a Grammar Nazi, LMAO - and I was wondering why I gave up reviewing.

...Then I remembered it was because I couldn't be stuffed reading some stories, HAHAHAH.

I'm horrible, I know ^^

I might open up some reviewing sections later on, but who knows. We'll probably have to wait until either after exams or after I graduate for it. It'll work out somehow, I guess~ I don't think I'd do too well with graphic reviewing though. Mainly because I'm not an amazing graphic artist, unlike the girls at InDesign. These old gen designers are absolutely amazing, and I'm even looking through their tutorials. They say you learn something new every day, and I sure did. I learnt more about the functions of Photoshop, which I've never really been much of a fan of since just recently. It's awesome! I'm going to go and have fun with a few more brushes - there are some brushes I want, but since I'm not too much of a fan of extravagant, flashy brushes, I wont have too many. It ends up lagging sometimes, hahah. I know - it's happened to me with GIMP. I went insane with brushes at the beginning of my designing 'career' ^^;

Process Commentary 2

I've written the content for the layout, and I just need to add details such as a list of 'schools' (missionaries/camps) and the list of Aboriginals that reside in the camps. I'll probably bring out characters from the book and create some of my own.

Why did I choose to write in the way I did? I chose to write in a similar way as to how they would've written in the 20s/30s, because it would've made it more realistic. To help someone else's understanding, I wanted the site to seem as if it really were written and created in the 20s so that they understand his thought process when he was Chief Protector of Aborigines.

I'm still thinking about turning the main page into a blog. It would fill up, because I could type short entries. I've had a look at Julia Gillard's website, and taking a look at her blog, her posts aren't too long either.

Trying to imitate their style of writing in the 20s is actually incredibly hard. Maybe it's because of all the changes in language that has happened over the last few years that make it harder, because their sentence structure and word choices are very different to those on official sites now, or those we use in every day life. I think I've gone through a few hundred sheets of paper just scribbling stuff down, haha!

Opinions?
Saturday, 21 April 2012 at 18:50

Bleh, my blogger dash changed to the new one, and I'm not liking it at all. It's ugly. BLEEEEEEH.

It's like bloody timeline on Facebook D:

Although I shouldn't have, I've started watching Brain, the medical drama featuring Shin Kahoon and Jo Donghyuk! It's pretty interesting. I'm up to episode four, and I should be doing my assignments and homework. I'll keep working them after I shower~ I promise!

This part in episode four made me laugh though. It was when Seo Joonsook (Jo Donghyuk) told the other doctors he wasn't accepted into Stanford (he didn't leave because of Jihye), and he brought them sandwiches.

Is this to celebrate your rejection?

Yes it is, what's it to you?

Aigoo, these are the saddest sandwiches in the world!

I don't know, it was just funny the way it was said, LMAO. Anywho, I'm going to watch a bit more and somehow multitask and work on my stuff at the same time. This was just a quick update~

Before I go though, I was thinking about setting up a little corner where you can sort of.. get to know your every day authors on AsianFanfics. I mean, yes, TimeVault is already doing an amazing job of interviewing authors - and their interviews are extremely interesting, check them out sometime! - but they mainly focus on the Soompi authors, and the other very very old gen authors (that sounds extremely weird, considering I'm part of the old gen. LOL). So I was thinking I could interview AsianFanfic's designers, trailer makers, reviewers or authors, since TimeVault focus mainly on the Soompi authors, as I stated earlier.

I've been thinking about this idea for a while, but I never knew how to go about it. Another one was a sort of advice column. I'd set up a Formspring or something and you guys can submit questions and I could write about my opinion on it and perhaps give some advice. I'm told I give good advice, but I don't know.... hahah ^^;

Tell me what you guys think about the ideas, I'd love to hear some feedback!

Who said...

So who ever said you were confined to a desk when it comes to studying or doing assignments? Personally, I prefer the floor over a desk, because I like space. It's the reason why I'm able to see the floor of my room, and why my room is relatively neat, LOL. So right now, I'm typing up another 'tip', and I'm going to be typing part of my process commentary for my Lit assignment here (I mentioned that in a previous update).

I seriously need to get back into proper studying, I've got exams in a few weeks! My auntie suggested that I should probably deactivate Facebook, but I'm actually pretty good at keeping away from it, so I don't think it'll be a problem. I'm starting to not use Twitter as much too, so I guess that's all good? Hahahah~

I opened my files for OSMC and Abstract for the first time in a while! For those of you who don't know, or have forgotten, OSMC (Of Sex, Money and Cars) is a fic I'm currently writing on AFF. I kept telling people that I have a huge writer's block and because I'm revising the story, but honestly it's because I've had no time to write anything, or if I do, I'm lazy. So I've planned it in my head and took notes on my iPod instead. I've done some stuff for it! Sadly, the stuff I wrote on my iPod are for future chapters instead.. We'll see how it goes ^^;

Secondly, Abstract, it's the fic that I wrote about in my previous portfolio! The summary I posted up there was..

Abstract (adj.);
Existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence.

Honestly, when we talked about the apocalypse, we never thought it would actually happen. They were all ‘what ifs’ and ‘maybes’, and they were meant to stay as ‘what ifs’ and ‘maybes’.

It doesn’t matter now, no one cares. Those who survived this ‘attack’ would be fending for themselves; and those who didn’t… Well, it’s not up to them to decide their fate now, is it?

We didn’t know if the whole world was in this state, or if South Korea was the only country affected. We didn’t know how much of this disease had spread throughout our country, but we knew that Seoul had been the first to get it.

Which is part of the forewords! This is an extended version of the extract I posted up on my previous blog, by the way. I'm not going to remind you guys on what it's about, you might want to take a guess though! There's a hint, but I doubt many will get it right unless they remember the post, kekeke.

Multitasking is awesome.

..And I need to vacuum the floor underneath my bed.

Process Commentary 1
I've finished the layout for the site, and I think it's okay. It might not seem like an official website, or it might not seem like A. O. Neville owned it (I don't think it will with the language I'm going to use), but I guess it's simple enough.

I wanted to go along with the colours of the Aboriginal flag (which are red, black and yellow), but so far I've only managed to incorporate red and black, but not yellow. I chose the Aboriginal colours instead of those of the Union Jack, because No Sugar is a protest play for the Aborigines of Australia, not for the British. By using the colours of the Aboriginal flag on a official British website, isn't that a protest in itself?

The assignment also says that it's to help someone's understanding (my own or someone else's)* of the text I've chosen. I've chosen to do a website for various reasons.

  1. It's an interactive - One of the ways people learn is through interaction, especially for the digital generation (Generation Z; those born between 1990 and 2010), who are able to skim read and absorb information faster.
  2. A. O. Neville is a real person - And this comes back to it being an interactive. If every historical figure had their own website that they maintained when they were alive, wouldn't that help kids researching? The aim is to give people an insight of what Neville may have been thinking during the time he was Chief Protector.

*It's not written like that in the question, but that's how it was explained to us.

How Great Is Your Love?
Saturday, 7 April 2012 at 22:57

So while responding to Steph unnie's comment on my previous post, I filtered through her posts (dang woman, have you become a hardcore Inspirit or something? LOL I kid ^^) and I came across this video!

And it just made me smile the whole way through. Screw T-ARA and Infinite, I focused on the kids the whole time and they were just too cute for words! They're definitely strong, beautiful, gorgeous, amazing, cute.. I don't know, I just think they're beautiful. To see them enjoy themselves as they do, it's heartwarming.

For kids like them to smile, to not care about the world and it's opinions, it must be nice, hm? And for someone like me, who is pessimistic as hell, I think it'd be nice. I've always wanted to go and do some volunteer work, whether it be in the hospital or in the orphanage, but I want to make a positive change in someone else's life, even if I can't make a positive change in my own. Don't ask, it's a long, complicated story.

So far, I'm only able to donate blood. I missed out on it last year because when my school went, I was still fifteen (I'm an October child, remember that), and I practically never leave the house, so going with my parents isn't an option. My friends were planning to go but never told me the details, so I don't know if they ever went or not.. and yeah.

But I'm determined to do something when I turn 18. I'm determined to put myself out there and help these kids. I know it might be horrible that I only want to help kids, but I personally think that because they're young, they need to gain the strength now, because our world is cruel. It's harsh, and it's horrible. I'm not saying that the elderly don't need any attention, it's just that these kids will probably live longer than the elderly, and who knows what they might come across in their journey through life?

I don't know, that's just my opinion, so if you want to bash; bash. I'm entitled to my opinion as much as you are to yours.

I don't know if you can call me selfish, but I've saved this video. Just because it makes me smile, meaning whenever I feel down, I'm going to watch it. Because I feel content by seeing other people smile, by listening to other people enjoy life, by seeing and hearing them laugh, even though I don't feel content with myself.

Is that selfish of me? Wanting to see people smile just so that I feel better about this life?

I wonder.

I like my smile.
Friday, 6 April 2012 at 13:34

AYO! What's up guys? I'm back! It's the Easter holidays! I would've blogged more during term one, but I've been so busy, I just have no time to blog; however, I think I'll be blogging more because blogging is going to help with a literature assignment I have! I'm making a website (because we have to contribute to the reader's understanding of a text we've studied this year), and I chose No Sugar by Jack Davis. I need to write a process commentary, and that's where blogger comes in handy. Don't forget to give me any feedback on what you think is good, what you think I can improve on and what I should add or take off. I'd love to hear feedback from you guys. You can view what I have here!

Anyway, I was reading Bubzbeauty's post, An Explanation. Not an Excuse, and she mentioned that she loves her eyes; her eyes are gorgeous. She said that 'growing up as a child,' she has 'always been complimented for having big round eyes', so it got me thinking about what I like about myself. I honestly don't think I'm very pretty or have a nice personality. Honestly, I don't have the best skin, the best body shape (I swear I'm overweight. I'm not obese, just a little fat, LOL), nice feet or nice hands (I have long fingers though.. If that counts for anything). I don't have the biggest eyes, or have the prettiest hair (my hair is extremely long though. Waist length.), but if I had to choose anything, I think I like my smile.

Just like how Bubz has always been complimented for having big eyes, I've been complimented on my smile, and I really do like it. I'm not the most optimistic person - in fact, many would know that I'm quite pessimistic - but hey, I can like myself to some extent, yeah? I'm at that point in my life where I don't love myself, but I don't exactly hate myself either. Although there are aspects of me I dislike, I don't completely hate myself because of it.

What do you guys like about yourselves? :)

Anyway, I think I'll update my portfolio today, continue writing a story, finish a trailer and get around to writing another review or tip to post up. Have a safe and fun Easter weekend everyone!

ANYONE HERE PLAY LOL? OMG IT'S INTENSE AS HELL, LMAO. I HAVEN'T PLAYED A GAME LIKE THIS IN AGES.

The only thing I don't like about it is how slow your player is without boots, short ranged characters like Annie, and the fact that there can't be repeats of a character in your team. I play best with Ashe or Annie though, so.. I don't like Annie's range :X It's too short for me. But apparently she's really good, so I'll master her first, then Ashe sometime later. Or I'll just work on the both of them.

I just finished two games with Rae, and holy shit, they were epic. They were intenseee! We lost the first one, and we were about to lose the second one, but then one of our team mates told us to keep pushing mid - bottom was getting owned! - apparently two turrets had been destroyed on the enemy's side in mid, so we pushed there. Then we won within the last fifteen minutes, haha! We ended up winning after I died for the 14th time, haha! Don't judge me, I'm a noob at this :P

They somehow kept leveling really fast though. O.o" So one of my team mates was like "They've been fed a lot." Hahah! Ahh, he's amusing to play with. But holy crap, he's level two and he was the best player on our team - I'm not even kidding.

This isn't good for my schooling life at all, but it's relaxing ^^ Taking a break from all my stuff. But hey, I've played a total of four hours today, that's not good, HAHAH.

It's 12.30 and I'm going to go and do my homework. It's 3.30 AM for Rae, and she's playing her last game (I'm a good girl, I stopped even though I want to play again!). I'm playing again tomorrow with my friends~ So we'll see how that goes, haha! ^^

Long Time No Blog~
Tuesday, 6 March 2012 at 22:35

Hey guys! It's been a while, hahah! I've been really busy with school and stuff - I told you my regular blogging wasn't going to last long!

Anyway, just a brief update on my life now.. I'm sick, I'm falling behind on my work, I'm not sleeping and/or eating enough and I'm stressed. Anywho, moving on.

We got our leavers jacket today! It's awesome~ Now I can keep warm in class, like, legit warm! It was 39 degrees Celsius today, so I only wore it in class, since I sit underneath the vents most of the time. I'm a total idiot for choosing those spots; just wait until it's winter /)____="

I'm also rewriting a Lit oral again. It's about the structure of No Sugar, an Australian play by Jack Davis, and I've had an extra two weeks to work on it, and I've got nothing. I was stopped the first time because I was talking about generic conventions, not structure. Oops. I don't know why certain scenes are where they are, and although I've already spoken to my teacher, I'm hoping to do it this week before we get too into Heart of Darkness, and.. yeah. I don't know, I'll work hard on it for the rest of this week. Hopefully I can present it on Friday!

I have also gained an Oppa! Quite interesting, really. I've always wanted an older brother, and I now have one who is a thousand times cuter than I am, hahah! Gosh, he's just the most precious kid, seriously! His boyfriend (yes, boyfriend) is really lucky to have him. Such a cute kid, Hyunmin oppa is. ^^ Mhm, he's half Korean. Not that it matters. What matters is that he's so cute, LOL.

Okay, I should move on. I sound like some weird creeper. O.o

I heard the weirdest story today.. In Econs.. We just had a long weekend, and yesterday, it was my friend's first year anniversary with his girlfriend. So um.. He punched her. What a lovely anniversary gift, right? Apparently she made the mistake of tickling him, and he punched her. Now she has stitches and everything. Oh dear, I hope she's okay D:

I'm not very happy,
Tuesday, 21 February 2012 at 17:08

And maybe that's because of some stupid controversy. Maybe it's because I'm stressed. Maybe it's because I'm tired. Maybe it's because of life; but lets start things one at a time, shall we?

1. BBCs and Hottests
Or in other words, Block B and 2PM. I know a lot of people have said this already, and I know a lot of people have already expressed their opinion, but I just need to get this out of my system. They made a mistake. So what? People learn from their mistakes, and that's how the world goes round. I have yet to meet someone who is absolutely perfect in every single way. I have yet to meet someone who hasn't made a mistake in their entire life.

I also have to say that I'm quite disappointed in Nichkhun's tweeting. I mean, I will admit that I have done this a few times in the past, but I've stopped dealing with people through posts on social networking sites. Especially when I don't mention them. I'm quite over it. Something simple like 'oh, okay. I see how it is,' is something I might tweet or say often, but it doesn't necessarily mean I'm talking about a person. If you know me well, I could be talking to the television. I just think that as both a Hyung and Sunbae to Block B, he could've approached them personally. I'm not saying that his anger was misdirected - he had every right to be annoyed. It just seems sort of childish to post stuff like this on Twitter.

Block B is also a group that likes to have fun. We all know that, yes? You can tell by just watching their interviews and looking at some photos from the red carpet. But even though they're as playful as they are, they recognised that this time round, their behaviour was inappropriate and have apologised for it. Although I'm disappointed in them too, they do regret it. I'll admit right now as this is going to be a hypocritical statement on my behalf; but do some people not understand the phrase 'forgive and forget'? Jay's controversy. Daesung's accident. Both examples of huge issues in Korea's entertainment industry, yet both (mostly) forgiven though not forgotten. Yes, it might take some time, but what the hell is up with these petitions of wanting them to disband? These death threats? The next thing you'll know, Hottests will refuse to talk to any BBC they meet.

Zico even shaved his head. I have never heard of another artist doing that after they apologise. Apparently GD has? I'll have to look that up later. But the act of shaving his head does show his sincerity. You want them to die? You want them to disband? I think that's a little too extreme. No one deserves to die (again, this is hypocritical on my part), and no group deserves to disband. It might be a lighthearted comment, I'll acknowledge that, but have you not thought of all the people supporting them?

Hottests, I'll ask you to think about this. How did you feel when Jay left 2PM? How would you feel if suddenly some other fandom created a petition to disband 2PM? If any of you guys are a part of Cassiopeia, you would already know how heartbroken thousands of fans were when they broke into JYJ and Homin. Everyone else would know how heartbroken Hottests were when 2PM went from seven to six.

I'm honestly trying not to hate on anyone here, especially not on 2PM. Both sides did wrong and both sides acknowledged it. What's done is done, lets move on.

2. Exhausted, Stressed and Life
So I don't know how many of you guys know this, but I'm easily stressed. I think that's mainly due to my failure in time management though. If I draw up a schedule for myself, I won't end up following it. The way I do it, is I come home from school, and for half an hour or an hour I'll eat, drink and do whatever, and then I'll start on my homework. With the way I organise my homework, it's whatever that's due first goes on top of my priority list. Of course, if I have any tests and/or assignments due, they go above homework.

But these days I find myself saying that I have no time to do anything. I think that's a bit of a lie, because I procrastinate a lot. It's sort of like I'm researching something, but at the same time I'll be talking to someone on Skype or typing up a story. It's like I'm trying to relax but work at the same time. I don't know, but I seriously have to do something about this. It's only the fourth week of school and I feel like I'm already suffocating.

I like how so many people at school are complaining about their social life disappearing. Welcome to school, kids. Welcome to year 12. Honestly, my social life is already gone, so there's no point in me complaining. But I do anyway. I wonder why. Hmm.

On another note, I made a poster last night~! It's for a really old fic of mine, July 26th. I wrote it in 2009 to come in terms with a certain event in my past, and it helped. Sort of. Okay, not really, because I feel like shit lately thinking about that event. But anyway, this is the poster from 2009, and this is the poster I made last night. I've improved dramatically, yeah? Yeah! You have to keep in mind that I started designing late 2008.

Well, I guess that's my rant for today. With the first part of my rant, don't take it as me hating on 2PM. I'm not hating on anyone. Both groups are hardworking, amazing and unique; but I'm merely expressing my opinion on the matter. With the second part, I'm not a lazy arse. I just have bad time management skills, simple as that.

Edit: After re-reading this, I don't know what I'm on about half the time.

난리 난리 난리나~
Saturday, 4 February 2012 at 12:34

THE BOYS ARE BACK with an album Zico produced himself! Well, he's their producer and has produced their other albums too.. Shhh. I downloaded the album yesterday and I've put 난리나 on repeat for so long, I've played it over 40 times. LOL, I love Block B, they have so much swag. I don't know when it happened, but I officially love them more than I love SHINee; daaaaaaaaaaang.

Originally my male group bias list went like this: DBSK; [insert Block B, SHINee, Beast and MBLAQ in any order].
Now it looks like this: DBSK; Block B; [insert SHINee, Beast and MBLAQ in any order]. But anyway, I wrote a whole bunch of failed Block B one shots leading up to their come back - and you can check them out on my Livejournal (link in the sidebar). I hope the boys win something this round :) Teen Top had their first win last night - congratulations to them!

*sigh. I've also started school again~ I'm officially a senior and will be graduating this year~ I also have my school ball in less than a week O.o" If you want pictures, you're only going to get them if you have me on Facebook. Sorry! But this means more homework, study and less designing, editing and writing. I'll do my best to keep up, because I take every Friday off (this means I don't do school work on Fridays unless I have exams), but we'll see. I might be going on hiatus, but I'm not getting that many requests anyway, so I should be alright.. I think. I haven't joined that many sites anyway, so it's okay, right? ㅋㅋㅋ

I'll obviously try to keep this blog updated, of course. I can't just ditch you all, it's not fair on you! I'm writing a new tip, about 'writing fast', because one of my Unnies was saying how she should be more like me and write her stories faster, but you can't force yourself to be like me. So that's a preview of what the tip will be about~

Finally, I shall leave you with this gif. Just look at Kyung, Zico and Jaehyo, HAHAHAHAHA.

I'm soo screwed
Saturday, 28 January 2012 at 00:00

I'm gonna have to learn how to read and annotate like a boss. I start school on the first of February, and guess what! I don't have my Econs books and I'm missing a play. I need to read two novels by Wednesday and I need to read this play too. So I'm going to have to at least finish 'Heart of Darkness' (by Joseph Conrad) by Monday at the latest, and then 'The Handmaid's Tale' (by Margaret Atwood) by Wednesday.

I'm going out with a friend on Monday, so Mum told me to go with Dad to buy my books on Monday morning. I should be able to read the play ('No Sugar' by Jack Davis) by Wednesday, provided I can actually buy it. The play has bloody disappeared off the face of the earth, I swear! I can't find it anywhere! So I'm thinking of getting Dad to send me to school early on Wednesday, and borrowing it from the library. At least then I can skim through it on the first day.

Gosh, I'm graduating this year. How old am I getting? I sort of want to and don't want to graduate high school, but that's cause I have friends that I only talk to because of school. I think we all have those kind of friends, right? You like them, they're considered your friends, but you don't really talk to them outside of school. Yeah.. I mean, I'm pumped for University and everything, but I just.. Don't want to leave anyone behind. Even the most annoying people.

Ahh, I don't know, no one will know me in Uni, so it'll be a fresh start.. Aish, why is life so hard? T_____T
