Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Friday 6 January 2012 at 14:42

1. What programs do you use?
Video editing: Sony Vegas Pro 11.0
Graphic designing: Photoshop CS5, GIMP 2, Photofiltre
Coding: Notepad (Believe me, I hate Dreamweaver)
Covers: Audacity

2. Where do you get your textures from?
Mainly DeviantArt, because there are so many amazing artists who are willingly putting up these resources for us to use, but I occasionally visit sites like Swimchick, Hopeless Thunder and 99mockingbirds. Check my credits page every time I change my layout - I link the people whose textures I've used in the layout. In video editing, I don't really use textures.

3. Can you teach me how to graphic design or video edit?
Honestly, I'm not the best person to come to for certain things, mainly because I suck at explaining, and because I don't consider myself the best at it. I also believe in mucking around with the program yourself to find out certain things, but you can always come to me for tips and tricks!

4. How long have you been designing, editing and writing for?
I've been designing since 2006, video editing since 2009 and writing since 2006. Please check out the about me section to find out the details.

5. Can you proof read my chapters?
Yeah, sure, as long as I have the time, and you have the patience to deal with a failed Grammar Nazi, you can ask me anytime!

6. Where do you get your clips from?
I download them off Youtube, and no, I don't download in 1080p, as much as I'd love to. I have two Youtube downloaders, which I can link you to if you ask.

7. What kind of videos do you use in trailers?
I mainly use (official) music videos or dramas. I'm not too keen on using variety shows, mainly because of the captions and the quality I get some of my shows in (trust me, sometimes they're worse than the quality I get some music videos in), but I do use them every.. once in a blue moon, I guess.

8. Are you from the US?
No, I hail from the bottom of the world, Australia.

9. Can you provide me with any download links to textures and such?
I can only provide you with the link from where I downloaded it from, not the actual download link itself. Reason being, they're not my resources to distribute. Another thing is, many sites I get my textures from don't have download links, as in once you click 'download', the 'save to' window appears. Its a different story when it comes to programs.
