grahpic designing; Since 2006. I got into proper graphic designing at the end of 2008 - November/December. Prior to this, in 2006, I was quite into Pokemon, and therefore started with making odd Pokemon sprites. Back then I was only using Microsoft Paint, to cut, colour and edit. At the same time, I was writing Naruto fanfiction on Quizilla. This enabled me to explore the world of creating posters for stories. This carried onto 2007.

When I got into high school in 2008, I was introduced to GIMP in my computing class. Offering a range of more experienced tools and a variety of different options, I started to use GIMP, just for fun. It wasn't until the end of 2008, did I get into Kpop, and started working for request sites.

I was introduced to Photoshop* later. So basically it was like this. Getting into the Winglin community, making friends, becoming part of request sites, write stories, be all happy together; the end. I admit I was properly introduced to Photoshop in my 2009 media class, and 2010 photography class. We didn't do much photo editing in media. It was mainly about videos (read the next section for more information).

Now I work with GIMP, Photofiltre and Photoshop.

trailer making; Since 2010. The hobby of making videos didn't start until 2009, when I decided to take up Media as a subject in school. In school, we used Adobe Premiere - which is an video editing program created by Adobe (quite obviously). It was in this class I realised that I quite enjoyed creating new videos (and filming them!). By the end of 2009, seeing the amount of Trailer Makers in existing request sties, I decided that I wanted to help out.

The question then was; what program could I use to make trailers with? The first thought that came to my head was Adobe Premier, but I had absolutely no way of getting it (and the file is really big); and after a while of searching I decided on Sony Vegas*.

As every beginner out there, you make mistakes and you make things that don't turn out the way you want it to. I gave up trailer making around the middle of 2010, simply because I didn't have the motivation or time to do it. Late 2010, I picked it up again, and through practise videos and getting tips from a few sites and seniors with the art, I've improved. You can view my trailers here!

webmistress; Since 2009. Becoming a webmistress was something that was done after a lot of thought, and I admit that I never have regretted the decision to become one. The only thing I would regret, is not keeping my site open for as long as it could have been open, simply because of my lack of experience in time management.

Seasonal Wishes opened on July 9th, 2009.

Seasonal Wishes was created on the 2nd of July 2009. I was bored, as I just finished a graphics request at another site. That's when I came up with the idea of creating a request site. After some consideration about the amount of work I knew that would follow the title of webmistress, I logged into my webs account and created a website.

That was the history part of Seasonal Wishes on it's About Us page. Now thinking back, I remember I was seriously debating whether being a webmistress was right for me or not. But I thought, it was experience that would help me later on. Then I thought about how I was a graphics designer; an occasional reviewer. It would certainly add to my workload, as well as school, but I was willing to give it a go.

Seasonal Wishes moved from Webs to Blogger in 2010, January 1st. By then, I had started to share the burden of being a webmistress with my dongsaeng, dramafreak4eva (cause she so awesomely became my co-web). Eventually the site closed around May or June in 2010, for it added too much to my burden of studying (which is the reason as to why most other request sites close).

By the time September rolled around, dramafreak4eva and I decided to open another site; however, it wasn't to be a request site. Random Creations was created to help people organise their sites, to help them maintain their sites for so much longer than most of them were around for. We realised that they had the potential to last years, except people had no experience. So putting together a team of experienced webmistresses, we tried to start a new site solely for this purpose.

The only setback was, we were both busy with school, it took a while to get Random Creations going. dramafreak4eva eventually left as a webmistress due to her own troubles in life, and I've taken over, determined to not close the site unless I had no other option. Right now, Random Creations is still open, but nothing's happened to it. There are plans to turn it into a completely different site, but that's all I'll say about it for now.

Throughout these couple of years, I realised that there's a lot of work put into organising a site, but it's all worth it, if you know what you are getting out of it. For me, as long as people are happy, I'm content with helping anyone that comes around.

writing; Since 2006. You might have found me on WingliNews, a site run by ShadowYin and dramafreak4eva (Yes, my unnie and dongsaeng). You guys must be wondering why dramafreak4eva is everywhere, right? Yeah, well, it's cause she's an awesome dongsaeng, with awesome ideas. Don't diss my online family.

Anyway, as I was saying. If you've found me on WingliNews, you might have seen my article, How rxnh got into writing.

I got into writing because of Yoochun and Junsu. Now, I'm waiting for my history bubble to appear.
..And seen my awesome description to go with it. So in my article, I claimed to have gotten into writing because of Yoosu. That would be a lie. Let me start from the very beginning. It started earlier than my graphic designing phase, but roughly around the same time.

So it started with anime. Okay, I admit, I was obsessed with it. Which Asian kid isn't at one point? Naruto, Bleach, Pokemon, Hamtaro, Digimon, Ghost in a Shell, Eureka 7; I grew up with this type of anime (which probably explains why I love gorey animes and action flicks. No horror movies thanks). So around the end of 2006, I found Quizilla. Being the bookworm I am, I started reading Naruto fanfiction, and thus, leading to my imagination coming to life through words (and if you've read above, in the Graphic Designing section, you will see that it's also led me to poster creation).

So I wrote Naruto fanfiction. Big deal. I was 12, I enjoyed anime and I loved reading. Soon after, I was getting quite into GaiaOnline, which, if you don't already know, is an Asian online community for role playing. I loved role playing. I found that it was a new way to express myself through different characters - which proved to help me now, when writing; simply because I've tried to put myself into their shoes many times before.

I was a shy, naive child back in my primary school days. Mostly a follower, and looking back, I realise that if I had never role played, I probably would be quite a different person, compared to what I am today (which is loud, annoying and weird).

So being into role playing, I got into Pokemon role plays (seriously, don't diss me. I love Pokemon, it runs in my family. I mean, just look at my youngest brother). Being in a community like that, I started to write fanfiction based on other anime. Honestly, I can say now, that I enjoyed that time period. I do occasionally write anime fics, but between you and me, I have a Pokemon one, somewhere in my USB.

So that was late 2006 to early 2008. During the course of 2008, I had started my first year of high school, I just stuck with role playing, only just to ease a load off my mind. I mean, you should always balance school and recreation, and I did just that. Then Yoosu came in late 2008. I don't know why I didn't just say that I started writing with Anime. Maybe it was cause I forgot at that time? Oh well.

photography; Since 2010. Never expected me to be able to know how to take pretty photos, right? Alright, maybe you did, seeing as I graphic design and make trailers.

My interest sparked in 2009. We were on a family trip to the Gold Coast, and my auntie had an DSLR camera. One of those big, heavy, bulky professional cameras. Yeah, I love them. So I tried to take pretty pictures with my standard digital camera. Quite obviously, the effect wasn't the same.

It wasn't until 2010, was I able to take up Photography as a class at school. My media teacher asked, if he were to propose a class for Photography, would any of us take the opportunity. Sadly for him, most of us did take it up, and I was lucky enough to get into the only year ten class.

So I spent a whole year learning about how to take pretty pictures with an DSLR, and now I am currently saving up for one. If I ever get the chance, I'll upload the photos for you all when I get one.

*Bought? Nope.
